White Zombie - The musical horror show that mixed dark pop culture with metallic hard rock has been resurrected on the 4-CD/1-DVD box set Let Sleeping Corpses Lie (Geffen/UMe), releasing November 25, 2008. The CDs bring together for the first time all 64 original studio recordings released by the band led by Rob Zombie during its 1985-1996 career. The DVD offers nine music videos, 10 live performances, and some hidden gems.

Sweden’s THE HAUNTED have returned with a new offering that marks a much welcomed return to the band’s trademarked aggressive, thrashy sound. The highly anticipated Versus, once again produced by the acclaimed Tue Madsen (Dark Tranquillity), features a no click tracks, no triggers and no faking it approach and consequently develops a fascinating level of dynamics and heaviness from its basic live-recording procedure that lets the band’s uncompromising power-groove do the talking.
The group’s outspoken and sometimes controversial frontman, Peter Dolving, recently checked in with MTV News’ Metal File with his thoughts on next week’s election. Dolving said he’s been keeping a close eye on both campaigns, and he even watched the three televised debates. But he’s not impressed with either candidate and feels they’re just espousing the same old politics of their predecessors. Click the link below to check it out.

THE HAUNTED’s first video clip for Versus is for the track “Moronic Colossus (live at Wacken 2008)” and can be viewed now exclusively at MySpace. The band comments: “We recorded the whole show at Wacken Open Air this summer and we picked ‘Moronic Colossus’ as the first promo video. You might think releasing a live video as the first promo clip would be odd, but considering Versus was recorded live we all felt that this was a pretty natural choice!”

With this album THE HAUNTED ultimately prove that their songwriting prowess is indefinable and undeniable, showing everyone that within this genre there are no limitations.
What is with this behind the player from Duff MacKagan of Velvet Revolver?

Former GUNS N’ ROSES/current VELVER REVOLVER bassist Duff McKagan’s raw punk approach and melodic riffs lay the foundation of some of the most influential songs of all time.
In his IMV “Behind the Player” DVD, Duff gives an intimate behind-the scenes look at his life as a professional musician including rare photos and video footage. Duff then gives in-depth lessons for how to play “Slither” and “Set Me Free” by VELVET REVOLVER on bass and jams the tracks with JANE’S ADDICTION drummer Stephen Perkins.
“Video Tab” shows exactly how Duff plays the two tracks. The video-game-style animated tablature is similar to Guitar Hero, but shows how to play the tracks for real.

“Momma Sed,” the third video from Puscifer’s debut album, V is for V****a, is currently streaming on Puscifer’s YouTube page (youtube.com/pusciferdotcom) with a higher quality version available on Oct. 28 via iTunes.
D is For Dubby, a nine-song remix collection of Puscifer songs done by Lustmord is also now available. The songs, which include “Trekka” and “DoZo,” can be downloaded at Puscifer.com.
Maynard James Keenan, the ringleader of the Puscifer collective, has recently opened a Puscifer retail store in Jerome, Ariz. Jerome, the largest ghost town in the USA, was known as the “wickedest town in the west” during the early 20th century. All of the items from the Puscifer online store are available as well as art, locally-roasted coffee and a revolving group of limited edition items. The store is located at 403 Clark St.
Responding to rumors of a live incarnation of Puscifer and a possible Las Vegas outing this February, Keenan offered no confirmation but a knowing smile.
Keenan and his Arizona Stronghold Vineyards’ partner Eric Glomski continue their Whole Foods wine signings with the next event Nov. 5 in Henderson, Nev. The remaining events are:
