the release of their first-ever career retrospective DVD, Centuries of
Torment - The First 20 Years, released on July 8th 2008. Centuries of
Torment - The First 20 Years landed at #8 on the Billboard Music Video
Charts!

CANNIBAL CORPSE’s latest release, CENTURIES OF TORMENT, has officially been
certified GOLD in Canada!
The DVD charted #10 on the Canadian top selling Music DVD charts.
Alex Webster (bassist) had this to comment "We are very excited to hear the
news that our new DVD "Centuries of Torment" has already been certified Gold
in Canada. We have always received incredible support from our fans in
Canada, but to have the DVD go Gold immediately upon its release is even
more than we could have hoped for. We want to say a huge thank you to our
Canadian fans for making this possible, you guys rule!"
Centuries of Torment - The First 20 Years features three discs and clocks in
at over 7hours in length. The first disc is a three hour definitive History
of Cannibal Corpse as told by the band, including past & present members,
fans, friends, family and the people who were there along the way. Truly the
most comprehensive look at the most influential Death Metal band in history.
From the band’s staggeringly humble beginnings in Buffalo, NY to the biggest
music festivals in the world, Cannibal Corpse’s ascension through constant
controversy to become permanent icons in the history of Heavy Metal, and
remain as relevant today as the band has ever been, is an amazing story that
should intrigue all fans of Heavy Metal.
The second disc includes live performances at With Full Force 2007, Toronto
2006, Party San 2005, New York 2000, Jacksonville, FL 1996, Nashville, TN
1994, Buffalo, NY 1989, and music videos for Staring Through The Eyes Of The
Dead, Devoured By Vermin, Sentenced To Burn, Decency Defied, Make Them
Suffer, Death Walking Terror, and Stripped, Raped, And Strangled 2007
featuring Trevor Strnad from The Black Dahlia Murder.
Rounding out the DVD release is a bonus disc containing footage about the
band’s artwork, merch, fan tattoos, and much more.
The band is currently at work on the follow up 2006’s KILL due out in 2009.
