Another lawsuit! Bret Michaels and Poison sue former EMI music label on shortchanging album sales.
Check it out! The timing is very weird. There looks to be no more Rock of Love, is Bret Michaels getting desperate that him and band mates have decided to take former label EMI to court. It seems to be the trend of suing former labels. You know, those companies that funded their careers to make them famous.
Poison is set to hit the road this summer, but prior to that they’re getting the band back together to sue their record label.
According to a lawsuit filed today in L.A. Superior Court, the band claims Capitol Records conned them, underpaying them royalties for years.
They also claim they were shortchanged by EMI Music Marketing over a deal they made in 2005 for their greatest hits album, which featured a new track entitled “We’re An American Band.”
Good luck Bret. You will need a good lawyer to win over those tired judges who are getting sick of these lawsuits.
