Van Halen adds charity even to tour
It looks like Van Halen [ tickets ]’s waylaid tour won’t resume on April 19 as previously announced, but it’s not what you think; the group has actually moved up its return to the stage.
Currently in the midst of an unplanned hiatus due to an unspecified health issue afflicting guitarist Eddie Van Halen, the band plans to resume its roadwork with a just-added April 17 performance in Reno, NV. Tickets for the gig–which will be the band’s first in that city since 1992, according to a press release–go on sale Sunday (3/30), according to Van Halen’s website.
The group’s April 19 headlining performance at Tiger Woods’ annual Tiger Jam charity event in Las Vegas will follow, and the group has a total of about 20 dates lined up through early June. Details are included below.
