This guy claims Iron Maiden is the most contemporary band in the 21st Century? Are we supposed to believe this compared to other great bands like Led Zep, GNR, Stones, etc.

Yes, in my opinion they are. But you can’t read. It says ONE of the most contemporary and exciting bands of the 21st century. Big difference
I will definitely argue that Iron Maiden is the most contemporary…..as well as the best hard rock/heavy metal band of all time. Sounds ridiculous right? Well, name any other band that has consistently put out quality record after another for almost 30 years. Remember..I said 30 YEARS! I’m not talking reuinion tours and greatest hits CD’s that other bands need to live on their past to survive. They’re last record was critically praised and broke the top ten in Billboard sales in the US. If you see them live, they put forth the energy and intensity of a band half their age that still has something to prove, and they are all in great shape, so there is no end in sight. Year after year, sold out arena after sold out arena…no one has done it like Iron Maiden, and most likely, no one ever will.

these website writers don’t know what their talking about anyways, it was just a little while ago that they posted an article by some dumb guy talking about how Iron Maiden were glam metal- for a “heavy metal music” website they sure have a thing against Iron Maiden.
Iron Maiden is beyond the most contemporary band of the 21st century. What other heavy metal band from the 80s have not sold out and changed there image. They can still fill a stadium, they are currently touring and they are selling tickets. I saw them live over 30 times. There music is also very articulate, I recomend a non fan to read the lyrics to songs like Alexander The Great. Also if you want to see intensity watch Rock in Rio. Tell me what other music artist today can fill 250000 screaming fans.
Iron Maiden are in a category by themselves, they are not a chessy boy, girl popcorn bublegum franchise. No band in this era can match what IM is. The music indusrty is in the toliet today and its not becuse of illigal downlaoding, p2p, or mp3’s its becuse there is nothing good out. I bought IM last album because i am a passionate fan. With IM there is no such thing as a B side, every one of there songs on there albums are pure perfection.
Final thought IRON MAIDEN are the A listers of heavy metal.
there were heavy metal bands before IRON MAIDEN & there will be heavy metal bands after IRON MAIDEN will be the best ever.
