So should we care if Eddie Van Halen had an addiction to cancel this tour?

Really. Do you care? But it must be understood the carnage this band has had on its fanbase who were travelling in to to see the band’s show.

Give Eddie abreak!!!

He has forgotten more about playing guitar than most of you will ever know.

So what if he has or had an addiction.

Didn’t Jimi H., Janis J., Jim Morrison, etc. have the same problems and we make them look like Gods.

So you you a**holes that have never experienced this get a grip.

He’s trying and that’s good enough!!!!!!!!!!!

Hang in there Ed…..at least your true fans are backing you.

You should care enough to correctly phrase the question. Dumbasses.

Drugs and alcohol are not only addictions, but diseases. (If they weren’t would insurance companies be paying for treatment?) As such, people with the affliction should be treated accordingly. Although people initially make the choice to use drugs, they are soon factually “sick” and “debilitatied” and need care. Addiction is a disease that requires the sufferer to be fully committed and involved in their own treatment and recovery (as opposed to simply administering antibiotics to cure an infection). But if we (society) have not educated the afflicted how to proceed, if we do not provide adequate tools for their self help, and if we instead treat them as lepers then we all have failed. And, as with any illness, calamity, setback, disaster (whatever-you-want-to-call-it) no one is immune and would we also want help, understanding, appropriate attitudes and treatment ? >

I hate to say this. But after a time if Eddie keeps on messing up. People will lose interest. I love Van Halen. But I know going out with Roth again was a decision made because Sammy and Michael kind of gave up on Eddie. All you ever read about their last tour together was that Eddie was a shambles. I does not matter who you are or how much money you have drugs and alcohol will take you down. Period.

Got something to say?
