Does legacy of albums and tours of Iron Maiden put them into their own category?
Iron Maiden is beyond the most contemporary band of the 21st century. What other heavy metal band from the 80s have not sold out and changed there image. They can still fill a stadium, they are currently touring and they are selling tickets. I saw them live over 30 times. There music is also very articulate, I recomend a non fan to read the lyrics to songs like Alexander The Great. Also if you want to see intensity watch Rock in Rio. Tell me what other music artist today can fill 250000 screaming fans.
Iron Maiden are in a category by themselves, they are not a chessy boy, girl popcorn bublegum franchise. No band in this era can match what IM is. The music indusrty is in the toliet today and its not becuse of illigal downlaoding, p2p, or mp3’s its becuse there is nothing good out. I bought IM last album because i am a passionate fan. With IM there is no such thing as a B side, every one of there songs on there albums are pure perfection.
Final thought IRON MAIDEN are the A listers of heavy metal.

On the other hand, Philip H. Anselmo is STILL saying what a GREAT person you are, and though out all the things we (all) have read what you have said about phil, he says, dont mind it, I love him with all my heart!
One day, the remaining C’s.F.H. will have a new band, maybe with Zakk W.

For a band at which the industry has often snubbed their nose, it’s just desserts that MINDLESS SELF INDULGENCE (MSI) keeps pulling punch after punch relentlessly. Following on the heels of last year’s #1 Singles, "Shut Me Up" and "Straight to Video" from their previous album You’ll Rebel to Anything, their new single "NEVER WANTED TO DANCE" has shot straight to the #1 position on Billboard’s Hot Sales Chart in its debut week, beating out High School Musical, The White Stripes, and M.I.A. for pole position.
Culled from the upcoming album IF which will be released on April 29 2008 on The End Records, the CD single for "Never Wanted To Dance"includes remixes by Ulrich Wild, Combichrist, The Birthday Massacre, Tommie Sunshine, and Spider.
MSI are currently preparing for a tour of Europe prior to album’s release that include four sold outheadlining shows in the UK. They will kick off their U.S. headlining tour loop with The Birthday Massacre as support on April 29th in Cleveland’s Agora Ballroom (tour dates below). IF will be released in four different cover art incarnations, including a limited edition deluxe edition and 12" vinyl. Artwork for the Deluxe and Vinyl editions were done by famed animator Jhonen Vasquez.
