Ex Three Inches of Blood offers an open apology about fight with Saxon during tour. Ex drummer Alexei Rodriguez wrote:

"To my friends, fans, and the greater metal/musical communities at large;
"It is with a significant degree of humility that I write to express my sincere regret at the events in Minehead during this year’s Hard Rock Hell festival in England. I in no way am writing this in an attempt to exonerate myself from the blame of having instigated a truly ugly situation, merely to let any who care to know where exactly it is that I stand after said fiasco, and to of course apologize to any and all who were hurt, disappointed, or put out in any way.
"I have already issued lengthy and sincere apologies to those most directly affected, and while it is those folks’ prerogative if they care to make those statements public, they were indeed only intended for their original recipients: Nigel Glockler, and the members and management of 3 INCHES OF BLOOD. Of course the band was embarrassed and did whatever damage control had to be done by expelling me, and to a certain degree the security guards that evening were also doing what they felt had to be done to contain an explosive situation, and for them I would hold no ill will. In fact, Nigel accepted my apology and correspondence with an astonishing degree of forgiveness and compassion, and I should be so lucky as to henceforth be able to refer to him as a friend, however backward the circumstances of our meeting. I wish him, his lovely girlfriend Gina, and SAXON nothing but the best in their lives, both musical and personal. I only hope that everyone else can be as non-vindictive and adult about the whole mess. (PS, don’t bother him anymore; he’s expressed quite clearly that he wishes not to discuss it further.)
"I can say with the gravest sincerity that I have NO desire to engage in anything remotely resembling that sort of (self-)destructive behaviour ever again, and that for my part, I’m doing everything I can to both make it right, and to quell whatever it is within me that caused me to behave in such a manner so that it NEVER happens again. Already I feel as if during my down time I’ve been able to make great initial strides in that direction. I can only hope that those of you that matter to me, both personally and professionally, would be so generous as to give me the benefit of the doubt, but I ask for nothing, and thus expect nothing.
"Thank you to all the friends, old and new, who’ve come out of the woodwork to stand by me, rather than engage in the juvenile sideline tabloid-style commentary of the quick-to-judge; I owe you my sanity, and my newfound optimism, to say the least. I hope to see you on the road soon."

Guns N Roses has new music video Biography show

Bassist Duff McKagan, said:

"They came in and like, the first couple of chords, the five of us in the same room, it was like lightning really struck."

"It was the best band we’d all been in, and we knew. For us, this was it, musically."

"We ended up hitchhiking. Five guys wearing, you know, leather jackets, carrying guitars, hitchhiking, you’re not gonna get a lot of rides, and if you, not for very far. We hitchhiked for a thousand miles."

The Pulse of Radio  stated:

GUNS N’ ROSES is the subject of a new episode of the A&E series "Biography" airing Thursday night (November 29) at 9 p.m. ET on the cable channel. The one-hour documentary charts the band’s history from its earliest days on the Los Angeles rock scene to its breakthrough debut album "Appetite for Destruction" to its current incarnation, of which singer W. Axl Rose is the only original member. The show also addresses the mystery of "Chinese Democracy", the "new" GN’R album that Rose has been working on for 13 years with no release in sight.
GUNS N’ ROSES was founded in 1985 by Rose and guitarist Tracii Guns, who left before the band was signed.

Gene Simmons claims another A**hole has been drilled into during music video TV show

Gene Simmons claims another A**hole has been drilled into during music video TV show

"On Tuesday, November 27th, I had a new asshole drilled into me. Apparently, one wasn’t enough. On that day, every major comedic weapon of mass destruction violated me. Roastmaster Jeffrey Ross, Lisa Lampanelli, Carrot Top, Paul Rodriguez and an army of killers — including Andrew Dice Clay….video well wishes (ass whuppins, actually) from Donald Trump, Criss Angel and more. Even the beautiful Shannon Tweed…and a big surprise, the killer himself: Nick Tweed Simmons blasted me in front of a willing, blood-thirsty mob who were there to witness my public humiliation and execution. Et tu Brute’???
"On a serious note, the ticket proceeds were given to the honorable Wounded Warriors — an organization that helps veterans — the brave and honorable men and women of the military, come home.
"I was presented with something that, personally, means more than I can put into words. I am an immigrant. I wasn’t born here. And yet, America has accepted me and has given me more than any country in the world. I owe America and its people everything. And, I will always be grateful.
"On a lighter note, here are some photos of the event. It’s OK to laugh. The damage has been done. I’m in healing right now.
"Oh, and the entire proceedings were filmed for our ‘Gene Simmons Family Jewels’ Season III….coming soon."

Article of the return of a potential Led Zeppelin tour

November 29, 2007

Rolling Stone posted an the article of the return of a potential Led Zeppelin tour:

The article stated:

On June 10th of this year, at 2:30 in the afternoon, the surviving members of LED ZEPPELIN — guitarist Jimmy Page, singer Robert Plant and bassist John Paul Jones — met in a rehearsal space to play some songs. It was the first time they had been in the same room with instruments since their rough four-song set at LED ZEPPELIN’s 1995 induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. This time, the stakes were higher: to see if they had the strength, empathy and appetite to truly perform as LED ZEPPELIN again, in their first full concert since the death of drummer John Bonham in 1980.
The location of the rehearsal, somewhere in England, is still a zealously guarded secret. In interviews a few weeks before LED ZEPPELIN’s December 10th show at London’s 02 arena — a benefit tribute to the late Ahmet Ertegun, the co-founder of Atlantic Records — Page, Plant and Jones claim they can’t remember the date, what they played or even how the idea of reuniting in honor of Ertegun, a close friend and mentor during and after the band’s years on the label, came up. They all agree that playing together again, after so long, was a momentous, emotional occasion.

Original bassist explains how he found the body of Kevin DuBrow of Quiet Riot

Original bassist explains how he found the body of Kevin DuBrow of Quiet Riot

Kelly Garni,stated:

"I want to thank everyone who refrained from jumping to conclusions and starting rumors. This has been a very traumatic tragedy to me and because of the fireworks usually associated with Kevin, I was expecting an avalanche of negativity that both me and Frankie [Banali, QUIET RIOT drummer] usually have to deal with. And I’m happy to say that for the most part, everyone did nothing but express good feelings. Unfortunately what negativity that did occur was internal and while inconvenient, I was able to handle.
"On Sunday [November 25], while I was working I got a phone call from Kevin’s home security company. It was at about 3:15 in the afternoon. I am the only one who gets a call whenever his alarm goes off and usually I go to his house and let the guards in to check things out. However, Kevin had had his front doors replaced a few weeks ago and I did not yet have a key, so I told them to send the guards and if there was a problem I would go there and take care of it. They also told me that Kevin’s voice mail was full. That was the first sign of trouble to me.
"I got on the phone to Frankie in L.A. and asked if Kevin was with him. He said no and that he hadn’t talked to Kevin in about 10 days. He said he thought Kevin was with one of his girlfriends. From there, I started to track her down. I have never met her and only after Frankie gave me her name was I able to find her, which was relativity easy. By now about 10 minutes had passed. She said that Kevin had missed Thanksgiving with her (one of two girls he was supposed to have thanksgiving with. Well, he IS Kevin). She said she had gone to his house and left him many messages without response and that she had a very bad feeling about this. Right then, my other phone rang. I have three phones in my house and little did I know soon all three would be ringing nonstop. I put the phone down on the table with girlfriend #2 still on the line and it was Frankie on the phone. He told me what had happened. I lost all composure at that point and told FB I would call him back.
"Now to the other phone where I had the unpleasant task of telling #2 the news. Needless to say she freaked. GF#1 was Lark Williams who was in San Fran at the time. She was worried about Kevin as well and she had called a paramedic friend of hers to go check on Kevin. The guy happened to be very close to his house. With Lark on the phone, the guy went to Kevin’s and was looking into windows and told Lark he could see his keys on the counter. Lark told him to break in immediately. It was a very ballsy and good thing she did. The guy broke in (hence the call from the alarm co.) and found Kev. This all happened in about 20 minutes time. From there, police, fire, everybody was called. He was found in bed. I talked with a detective who was there and they hadn’t even removed Kevin yet. He said, ‘We have found no signs of foul play and are ruling this an accidental death.’
"Last I heard from Kevin’s brother, there was going to be a service this Sunday in Corona del Mar, Caalifornia. Kevin will be buried next to his father. But then I was told that the coroner was still not done so that was kind of up in the air. I have not heard from them since.
"Peter Margolis [director of the upcoming Randy Rhoads documentary film] was one of the first people I called. I had had to tell the news to Kevin’s brother as well and I really didn’t want to go through that again with others who are important in our lives. He was very kind was immediately saddened and said right off he wouldn’t wish this on anybody. I read his statement and can say that he did in fact want to work out the differences between Kevin and himself.
"From here, I am not going to point out all the other things to you that people say when an icon dies.
"Kevin was what he was and he lived his life as such.
"To me, Kevin was my brother for 35 years. And like brothers, we had our differences. But many many times over dinner, we discussed how great it was to be able to sit across from each and laugh about all the terrible things we said and did to each other. He was always there for me, and I was always there for him.
"The last time I saw him was on our mutually shared birthday, October 29, He gave me a big hug and a really great present. The best present, though, was the hug.
"I will miss him terribly. I pray that those who had issues with him don’t take this opportunity to celebrate this.
"If you knew Kevin well enough to have a beef with him, then you knew him well enough to know he had a very good side to him as well.
"Thank you all for all your kindness. Please remember him for the one thing he wanted to be since he was born: A ROCK STAR."
